\"\"IEEE International Symposium on Women in Services Computing (WISC 2024)<\/b><\/h2>

The IEEE International Symposium on Women in Services Computing (WISC)<\/strong> was launched in 2020, evolving from the WISC Workshop, first held in 2017. The goal of the WISC Symposium is to provide an environment for women to exchange both technical and professional ideas and to network, to extend their associations in the field as a basis for advancement, recognition, mentoring, and exchange of ideas. It is a cross-conference event at IEEE SERVICES 2024. It is sponsored jointly by IEEE SERVICES, IEEE Technical Committee on Services Computing (TCSVC), and CCF (China Computer Federation) Technical Committee on Service Computing (TCSC).<\/p>

The IEEE WISC Scholarship Program began in 2021 as a cornerstone of our commitment to growing the technical community of women in services computing all over the world. The scholarship program is sponsored jointly by IEEE World Congress on Services (SERVICES), IEEE Technical Community on Services Computing (TCSVC), and CCF (China Computer Federation) Technical Committee on Service Computing (TCSC).<\/p>

One of the highlights of the symposium is the presentation of the\u00a0IEEE TCSVC Women in Services Computing Award<\/a><\/strong>, which will also include a talk by the winner focused on her own professional and personal journey to becoming a recognized leader in the Services Computing field. The world has dramatically changed over the past year in terms of how we communicate in our day-to-day interactions. However, one thing remains constant and unchanging – the need to maintain the women in services community in which we can foster, and nurture each other in the various walks of life including our careers, long-term goals, and next endeavors!<\/p>

4<\/b>th<\/b> IEEE WISC Scholarship Program
<\/b><\/h4>

The IEEE International Symposium on Women in Services Computing (WISC) 2024 will once again be awarding scholarships, to both graduate and undergraduate students, as we continue our mission to support women pursuing technical education. Candidates must be attending an accredited engineering or computer science institution. Please note that past awardees are not eligible.<\/p>

  • Short bio (maximum 200 words)<\/li>
  • Personal statement (limit of 500 words)
    * Include Academic \/Technical interests, contributions to the community, etc.<\/li>
  • Transcript(s).\u00a0 All transcripts must be in English and legible.\u00a0 If the grading system is not easily understood, please clarify.\u00a0 (e.g., A grade = xxxx, B grade = xxxx, etc.)<\/li>
  • At least one recommendation letter
    * Please ensure your name and email address are included in the recommendation letter, as well as your relationship to the recommender
